Folders
- Create a folder from the sidebar tree (root or nested).
- Rename or delete folders from context actions. Deleting may move contained notes to the parent or root per app policy.
- Click a folder to filter the notes grid.
Notes grid
Each card shows title, preview, star state, and type (Markdown vs imported file). Double-click a card or title to open a tab.
Create a note
- Click New Note.
- A tab opens in the current folder with the editor ready.
- Content autosaves; a saved indicator appears after edits.
The note title often derives from the first # Heading in the body.
Link to a paper
Create a paper-linked note from the library Notes panel on a paper row. Linked notes show a Paper linked chip in the frontmatter bar and appear under Linked to Paper.
Team and review notes
On Pro teams, notes can be team-visible with author attribution and timestamps. Notes linked to a review show review chips. Private notes stay visible only to you.
If two teammates edit the same note, you may see a conflict banner with an option to reload the remote version. Edits from the CLI while a tab is open can show an external update banner.
