Reviews overview
Teams, review types, setup wizard, and opening a project.
Systematic reviews require sign-in, Avera Pro, and membership in a team.
Open a review
- In Research Library, select your team in the sidebar.
- Click a review name.
- The review opens as a tab at
/screening/:reviewIdwith the project dashboard.
Use the back control to return to the library and close the review tab.
Review methodology modules
When creating a project, choose a methodology that matches your question:

Complete the Review Setup wizard (title, research question, inclusion/exclusion criteria, optional PICO) before screening. You can save a draft and return; the dashboard warns until setup is complete.
Store optional protocol registration (PROSPERO / OSF) and search date range for methods reporting.
Import papers into a review
From the review dashboard:
- Click Import papers.
- Select papers from your library, import an entire collection, or upload RIS / BibTeX.
- Optionally auto-assign reviewers on import.
Duplicates already in the review are skipped. Provenance is tracked for external file imports.

Settings highlights
- Inclusion / exclusion criteria — visible beside every decision
- Dual screening — two independent reviewers; conflicts when they disagree
- Blinded screening — hide others’ decisions until both submit
- Arbitrator — team member who resolves conflicts
- Exclusion reasons — customizable per stage; map to criteria for reporting
- Maybe queue — resolve maybes before completing screening
Offline and sync
Screen locally; decisions sync when you are back online on a subscribed team. Teammates see progress and conflicts after sync.
