Browse, filter, and manage papers in your personal library.
The Research Library is your home for references: sortable table, sidebar filters, collections, and (with Pro) teams and reviews.
Open the library
Click Research Library in the ribbon. The route is /library.
Sidebar filters

| Recently Read | Papers you opened recently |
| Favorites | Starred papers |
| Unsorted | Papers not in any collection |
| Duplicates | Groups with same DOI or similar titles |
| Trash | Soft-deleted papers |
Trash disables import and upload in that view.
Papers table
Columns typically include Authors, Year, Title, Source, File, and Read status.
- Sort — Click column headers; click again to reverse.
- Select — Row checkboxes; header checkbox selects visible rows when available.
- Star — Click the star on a row (or B / S with a row selected).
- Read status — Click the badge to cycle Unread → Reading → Read.
- Open PDF — File column or double-click the title when a PDF is attached.
- Notes — Notes button opens the paper notes panel.
- Delete — Moves the paper to Trash (restore from Trash filter).
Selection bar
With one or more rows selected, use the bar to star, move to collection, delete, or restore (in Trash). Clear selection to dismiss the bar.
Paper metadata panel
Select a paper to see metadata, identifiers (DOI, PMID, arXiv, etc.), reference type badges, and quick actions. Reference types include article, preprint, book, chapter, webpage, conference paper, and patent.
Split view with notes
From a paper with a PDF, you can open linked notes beside the PDF in a split workspace to read and write side by side.
